This is the very first painting created in the style of Shalism, marking the birth of a new artistic language. The work captures a scene familiar to every parent — a teenager lying on a sofa, absorbed in her iPad, surrounded by the quiet intimacy of home.
The setting is the artist’s own house in Cyprus, and the figure is her daughter — depicted with tenderness and a deep sense of recognition. What might seem an ordinary moment becomes, through Shaly’s gaze, a timeless meditation on modern childhood, comfort, and connection.
